Portrait of Paul from Waverly Antiques.
One of the things that drew me to Paul was how caring and attentive he was during the checkout process. He even asked if one of the items was for “someone special” (it was), which I thought was incredibly sweet. I was so impressed with Paul’s demeanor that I decided to make a portrait for him.
When I returned to give him his portrait, all the employees were genuinely confused as to who this man was, insisting no one who looked like him worked there. Eventually we got to the bottom of it, but it took a couple employees and genuinely confusing minutes to figure it out. Turns out Paul doesn’t actually work there - he was just filling in for his wife.
